Son of Gaddafi accused of assault

Amsterdam News.Net
Friday 18th July, 2008

One of the sons of Libyan leader, Moammar Gaddafi, has been freed in Switzerland after being accused of assaulting two of his staff.

He has posted bail of US$490,000.

Hannibal Gaddafi, the youngest son of President Gaddafi, was arrested on Tuesday at his hotel after two of his servants accused him of striking them.

Gaddafi and his pregnant wife were taken into custod, as were two of Gaddafi's bodyguards, who were accused by police of resisting arrest.

Gaddafi, 32, and his wife have been charged with inflicting physical injuries and using threats and force against the two servants.

Son of Gaddafi accused of assault

what are khadafis children doing in switzerland.? why dont they remain in their own country or go to zimbabwe which khadafi senior seems to side with. or dont they think the services are not up to standard - lets not forget standards which they themselves set then refuse to use? what hypocrisy! both on the part of dictators and the swiss govt- to allow such traitors into their country- shameless switzerland, youve been accomplice to too much evil for a long time, im sure your time will come.

Not Welcomed.

Why blame Switzerland. It is a nice, peaceful, non interfering country, accomodative to lots of muslims too. Maybe they didn’t know the son of Gaddafi is in their country. Now they know, after the trial, they may deport him back to wherever he came from. Good riddance too.

A dectator son of dectator

I am a member of the family of the Tunisian woman who was aggressed.I wanted to say that this cannibal is a dectator same like his father.those people think that with their power and their money they could do any thing they want and have no respect to any contry or humain rights. That’s how they treat their own population,if you dont agree about something or you talk about politique you die.Tunisian and libian people have good relationship and we are peaceful people but those dectator must leave and die.
Now look at what the Gaddafi president did instead of apologies about what his son did in a free country a country
of human rights. It does show how ignorant, arrogant and dectator he is.
I wish that Swizerland and Tunisia wouldn’t let this pass without punishement.

It is a free world, and people are free to travel as they wish

Yes, my friends it is still a free world, and people are free to travel as they wish, as long as they have money, but the bad part is that people that do not have money are costricted not to travel, or if they wish to travel, they are limited in their distances to their travelling.

The article, does not state the reason why these servants were slapped, or striked, so we cannot give judgement, articles generally are written to arouse peoples emotions, and can be one sided with a political influence, one way or another, depending on the person that writes.

There could be a million reasons, taking into consideration that this Gaddafi, had a pregnant wife with him, and sometimes a dirty look,a denied service, or an unwanted remark can stimulate, a negative reaction.
