Gavin Hunt doesn't support the decision made by the KNVB to cancel the 2019/20 Eredivisie season.
The Dutch top-flight was ended following an announcement from Prime Minister Mark Rutte last week.
No team was awarded the title despite Ajax holding top position in the standings ahead of the enforced lockdown as a result of the coronavirus.
The Clever Boys boss remains hopeful the Premier Soccer League will be able to continue, with the club still to play nine PSL matches.
He told Isolezwe: "There's plenty of time, the Netherlands rushed their decision. They have done something that's unnecessary, honestly.
"They have started something that will lead more countries to follow them while there's a chance [to finish the season]."
He added: "They were supposed to wait like all of us around the world, not to make a decision without thinking properly.
"(I) don't even think that the PSL season will not be completed. There's no doubt that the games will be completed. Just wait and see, this is South Africa."
