MANILA, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte departed for the Netherlands on Wednesday, local media said.

The Office of the Vice President confirmed that Sara Duterte left Manila at 7:40 a.m. local time and is heading to Amsterdam, multiple news outlets reported.

The vice president earlier said she will follow her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, to The Hague for the International Criminal Court trial.
